PrescottPride is a new online connection for the GLBT community in the Prescott, Arizona area. This group is open to gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people, and supportive allies of any age or background. PrescottPride is an extension of the Prescott Pride Center and is designed to engage local GLBT people in co-creating activities and events that will keep our community connected after the Pride Center closes in September 2012. This is a group for men interested in serious gay literature: Edmund White, Marcel Proust, Andre Gide, that sort of thing. As the founder, I'm equally interested in literature about homosexuality as a theme or experience and in literature by homosexual men regardless of whether the work itself takes homosexuality as a focus.

We will watch a film - - a documentary, a narrative film, a foreign film -- with a connection to gay male experience, and then discuss it.
